Olde Towne Animal Medical Center is proud to serve Longmont, CO and surrounding areas. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medicinealong with friendly, compassionate service. We believe in treating every patient as if they were our own pet and giving them the same love, attention, and care. We are a group of highly trained, experienced animal lovers who are devoted to giving our patients the best care possible.
Meet the Team!
Colleen Carnes, DVM, CVA
A Massachusetts native, Dr. Carnes moved to Longmont in 2004, and earned her veterinary degree from Colorado State University in 2010. While at CSU, she received additional training to become a certified veterinary acupuncturist. She has owned Olde Towne Medical Center since November of 2019, and currently resides in Longmont with her husband and kids, as well as her old man cat Zeus and tripod Cooper.
Susan Muench, DVM
With professional interests that include internal medicine, infectious disease, small mammal species, pediatrics/geriatrics, neurology, ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery and emergency medicine, Dr. Muench has been practicing veterinary medicine for decades at the clinic and through volunteer efforts to support under-served communities. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from CSU in 1990, and her animal family consists of Dani, a Shih Tzu-Poodle mix (who you may have met at the office) and Little Kitty (who is very shy and loves the comfort of home).
Erin Walters, DVM
Erin was born and raised in Boulder County and currently lives in Longmont. She is excited to be practicing in her local community! She graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. After completing an internship in Southeast Florida, she practiced in Arvada and Lafayette prior to joining Olde Town in November 2020. Dr. Walters is certified in Fear Fear handling techniques and is passionate about providing low-stress, comprehensive care for her patients. In her spare time, Dr. Walters loves spending time with her husband, son, and two cats
April Torres-Dunlap – Veterinary Nurse (CVT)
Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, April moved to Colorado with her husband and two children in 2009. She earned her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from Front Range Community College in 2017 and has been with Olde Towne Animal Medical Center since November 2014. April has always known she wanted to work with animals and has been in the veterinary field since 2003, working with anything from large animals to exotic pets. In her spare time, April enjoys reading, dancing, and binging Netflix with her two cats.
Robyn King – Operations Manager
An Iowa native, Robyn has been a Registered Nurse for 20 years and made Colorado her home in 2001. She joined Olde Towne 8 years ago as a receptionist and has taken on both vet tech & administrative roles, so she knows the practice inside and out. At home, Robyn, her husband, and three kids have a beautiful family of pets – 4 dogs, 4 cats, and a guinea pig, bird, bearded dragon, and fish!
Jenny Ahlerich – Veterinary Assistant
Jenny entered the veterinary field in 2017, when her love for animals compelled to her to make a career change out of the finance and accounting world. She enjoys living on her urban farm where she tends to her garden, 5 dogs, 10 chickens, and cat. She is a Colorado native, with a degree from CU Boulder, and loves spending time outdoors and with her family.
Michelle Stoops – Veterinary Assistant
A Colorado native, Michelle has lived in the Longmont area for the past 18 years. With a background working at schools and running a retail business, her love of animals prompted a career change and she went back to school and became a veterinary assistant in May 2019. Olde Towne Animal Medical Center is her first job since graduating and she is excited to continue to learn and interact with the animals. When Michelle is not working with the animals here, she likes to spend time with her husband, three grown children, and her rescue Pitbull mix, Ellie.
